Susan Ankeles Wilchins received a Bachelor of Arts in Education and a Master's Degree in Special Education. Ms. Wilchins has twenty-seven years of experience in all facets of special education administration. Most recently she served as the Executive Director of a private special education school for boys with emotional and learning disabilities. This program included a Chapter 766 Day Program as well as a year round Residential treatment program. In her capacity as Executive Director, she has been a member of the Massachusetts Association of 766 Approved Private Schools (MAAPS), on the Board of Directors and the Parent's Advisory Group.
In her advocacy work, Ms. Wilchins oversees and monitors the continuum of care for families seeking assistance. She also serves as a volunteer information specialist at The Federation for Children with Special Needs in Boston.
